2008년 금융위기 당시 한국 유동성 위기의 진원지였던 영국의 재정 상황이 급속히 악화되고 있다는 보도가 잇따르고 있다.

AP통신은 영국의 현 상황을 그리스와 비교하며 재정 문제를 11일 집중적으로 거론했다.

통신은 영국의 정부 부채가 그리스보다 빠르게 늘어나고 있다고 지적했다.

19-비로자나불(法身佛)

불법의 진리 형상화한 ‘광명의 부처님’

환하게 밝은 빛 광명(光明). 밝음 보다 ‘어둠’을 선호하는 사람들이 없는 것은 아니지만, 대개의 사람들은 ‘광명’을 더 좋아한다. 환하게 비치는 햇살 속에 ‘어둠’으로 생긴 모든 ‘괴로움’과 ‘나쁜 것’들을 정리하고 싶어 한다. 마음속의 번뇌, 몸과 마음과 뜻으로 만든 삼독(三毒), 과거의 불행했던 일까지 광명 속에 드러내 참회하고 새로운 삶을 살고자 갈망한다.

어둠이라고 다 나쁜 것은 아니다. 열심히 일한 사람에게 찾아오는 ‘밤(夜)’은 휴식과 평안을 뜻한다. 이런 의미의 어둠마저 나쁘다고 볼 수는 없다. 그럼에도 ‘어둠’ 보다는 ‘밝음’이, 암흑으로 대변되는 ‘악(惡)’보다는 광명으로 대표되는 ‘선(善)’이 더 좋은 것은 사실이다. 불교 역시 광명을 강조한다. ‘어둠’으로 표현되는 ‘무명(無明)’을 극복한 ‘깨달음’이 바로 ‘광명’이기 때문이다. 탐욕.어리석음.성냄의 어둠을 이겨낸 밝음이 광명이고 깨달음인 것이다. 태양이 비치지 않은 곳이 없듯 깨달음은 세상을 두루 비춰 중생들에게 희망과 안락과 즐거움을 준다. 광명을 이념화.형상화 한 것이 비로자나불이다.

‘광명’ 혹은 ‘태양’이란 뜻의 범어 바이로차나(Vairocana)를 옮긴 ‘비로자나’는 - 노사나(盧舍那) 혹은 비루차나(毘樓遮那) - 〈잡아함경〉 권22에 보인다. “모든 어둠을 깨뜨리고 광명을 허공에 비추는, 비로자나(毘盧遮那)의 청정한 광명이 이제 나타났다”는 구절이 그것이다. 비로자나의 본뜻이 ‘태양’임을 알 수 있다. 그러다 〈불설관보현보살행법경〉(424~453. 劉宋 曇無密多 옮김)에 오면 “석가모니불을, 모든 곳을 두루 비치는 비로자나라 이름하고 그 부처님이 계시는 곳을 상적광(常寂光)이라 한다”고 해, 석가모니 부처님이 비로자나불임을 명시한다. 부처님의 덕화가 우주에 충만한 것이 마치 태양이 우주에 가득한 것과 같음을 보여주는 구절이라 하겠다.

나아가 〈화엄경〉은 “석가모니불이 바로 비로자나불”임을 밝힌다. ‘60 화엄’(420. 동진 불타발타라 한역) 권4 ‘여래명호품’에 “이 사천하의 불호(佛號)가 같지 않으니 실달(悉達)이라 하고, 만월(滿月)이라 하며, 사자후(獅子吼)라 하고, 석가모니라 하며, 노사나(盧舍那)라 하며, 구담(瞿曇)이라 하고, 대사문(大沙門)이라 하며, 최승(最勝)이라 하고, 능도(能度)라 하여 이런 부처님 이름이 1만 가지나 된다”고 나온다. ‘80 화엄’(699. 唐 실차난타 한역) 권12 ‘여래명호품’에서도 비슷한 내용이 나오는데, 다만 노사나(盧舍那)를 비로차나(毘盧遮那)라 표현하고 있는 것이 다르다.

그런데 구마라집 스님이 406년에 한역한 〈범망경〉 ‘노사나불설보살심지계품’ 제10상권에는 “나는 이미 백아승지겁에 심지(心地)를 닦아 범부를 벗어나 등정각(等正覺)을 이루니 노사나라 부른다. 연화대장세계해(蓮花臺藏世界海)에 머무는데 그 대 주변에는 천 개의 꽃잎이 있고, 한 잎이 한 세계로 천(千) 세계가 되며 나는 변화해 천(千)의 석가가 되어 천세계에 의거한다. 다시 일엽세계(一葉世界)에 이르면 또한 백억 수미산, 백억 일월, 백억 사천하, 백억 남염부제가 있어, 백억 보살과 석가가 백억 보리수 아래 앉아 각각 그대가 물은 바 ‘보리살타심지’를 설할 것이며, 나머지 999 석가도 각각 천백억 석가를 나타내는 것이 또한 이와 같다. 천 개의 꽃 위에 있는 부처는 내 화신이고, 천백억 석가는 천(千) 석가의 화신이라, 나는 이미 본원(本原)이 되어 노사나불이라 이름 한다”고 해, 비로자나불은 석가모니불의 본신불(本身佛)로 이념화된다. 특히 밀교 경전인 〈대일경〉 등은 ‘마하-비로자나(Maha-virocana)’를 대일여래라 하여 전(全) 법계(法界)의 본체로 보며, 본체를 법성(法性)의 양 면인 리(理)와 지(智)로 나눠, 이법신(理法身)을 태장계 교주로 하고, 지법신(智法身)을 금강계 교주로 파악한다.

석가모니불이 비로자나불인데, 왜 비로자나불이 필요할까. 비로자나불은 무엇 때문에 태어났을까. 역사적 부처님인 석가모니가 열반에 든 이후, 제자들은 유골(遺骨)을 통해 그 분의 체취를 느꼈지만, 그것만으론 무엇인가 부족했다. 부처님을 대신할 수 있는 ‘권위’를 어떤 형태로든 찾으려 노력했다. ‘석가모니 부처님과 별개의 인격적 존재’로서 다른 부처님을 찾으려는 노력과 ‘석가모니 부처님 안에서 여러 차원의 부처님’을 분별하는 노력이 시도했다. 두 가지 노력 가운데 전자가 먼저 결실을 거뒀다. 이미 존재하는 진리를 깨달음 분이 부처님이라면 과거에도 있을 수 있고, 미래에도 있을 수 있다고 보았던 것. 그래서 태어난 부처님이 과거불(연등불)과 미래불(미륵불)이다.

그러나 미래불은 ‘56억7000만년’이라는 시간을 기다려야 했다. 지금이라도 가기만 하면 만날 수 있는 부처님, 다른 국토의 부처님을 찾게 됐다. 타방불(他方佛)혹은 타토불(他土佛)은 이래서 태어났다. 동방묘희세계의 아촉불, 서방극락세계의 아미타불은 대표적 타방불이다. 타방불 사상은 사방불(四方佛).시방불(十方佛)로 발전했지만, 타방불도 문제는 있다. 현재 친견할 수 있는 부처님이 아니고 죽어 왕생해야만 볼 수 있는 부처님이기 때문이다. 그리하여 현재 이 세계에도, 우리가 살고 있는 이 세계에도 부처님이 계신다는 사상이 등장했다. 〈화엄경〉의 주불이자 광명과 태양의 부처님인 비로자나불이 그 분이다. 어디에도 존재하는 태양빛처럼, 어디에나 존재하며 가득 차 있는 비로자나 부처님이 탄생된 것이다.


sangdam sangdam Y 2010.03.08 09:39|수정|답글|삭제이와 달리 석가모니 부처님 내부에서 여러 부처님을 찾으려는 노력은 석가모니 부처님이 설한 가르침인 ‘법신(法身)’과 석가모니 부처님의 당체인 ‘색신(色身)’을 - 이를 ‘이신설(二身說)’이라 한다 - 만들어 냈다. 시간이 지나고 교리가 발달함에 따라 ‘영원한 본체신(本體身)으로서의 법신’과 ‘현실적.역사적 실존 인물로서의 색신’의 관계도 변했다. 법신(法身).보신(報身).화신(化身)의 ‘삼신설(三身說)’ 사상으로 발전되고 전개된 것. 이신설의 법신은 영원성은 있으나 현실적 구체성이 없고, 색신은 현실적 구체성은 있으나 무상한 몸이라 영원성은 갖추지 못했다. ‘영원성’과 ‘현실적 구체성’을 모두 만족시키는 부처님인 보신불이 필요했다. 때문에 보신불은 ‘영원한 본체신으로서의 법신’과 ‘현실적 구체성을 띤 색신’이 통합된 불신(佛身)이라 할 수 있다. 다시 말해 부처님의 가르침은 본체신인 ‘법신(광명이 두루 비치는 덕성을 가진 비로자나불)’으로 정립되고, 법신이 중생제도를 위해 사람 모습으로 화현한 것이 ‘응신(혹은 화신. 중생계에 태어난 역사적 부처님인 석가모니불)’이며, 응신으로서의 부처님이 특별한 수행을 해 그 과보로 법신의 영원성마저 성취한 것이 ‘보신(5겁에 걸친 특별한 수행을 통해 수명과 광명이 무량한 경지를 성취한 아미타불)’인 것이다.

법신불 비로자나불은 ‘진리의 당체(當體)’이기에 조각과 그림의 주요한 대상이 됐다. 누구나 진리를 갖고 싶어 하고, 누구나 진리 앞에 자신을 던지고 싶고, 누구나 자기가 진리와 둘이 아님을 보여주고 인식하고 행동하고 싶었기 때문일 것이다. 진리를 감아 쥔 듯한 손모양의 ‘지권인(智拳印)’을 한 부처님이 비로자나불인데, 인도나 파키스탄에서는 보기 힘들다. 대신 중국(운강석굴 제18굴 주불)과 우리나라, 일본 등지에서는 특히 많이 조성됐다. 우리나라 사찰에서 비로자나불이 봉안된 전각을 대적광전, 대광명전이라고 한다. 이들 전각 안에는 보통 비로자나불을 중심으로 좌우에 노사나불과 석가모니불이 봉안된다. 반면 비로전 또는 화엄전이라 할 때는 비로자나불만 모신 것이 상례며, 비로자나후불탱화가 봉안되기도 한다.

비로자나불은 대개 지권인을 하고 결가부좌한 자세로 앉아있다. 고려 말부터 지권인이 변형되어 왼손을 오른손으로 감싼 모습으로 표현되는 경우가 많았다. 불국사 비로전의 비로자나불좌상, 통도사 대광명전의 법신탱화, 동화사 비로암 석조비로자나불좌상, 장흥 보림사 철조비로자나불좌상, 철원 도피안사 철조비로자나불좌상, 해인사 대적광전의 비로자나불 등이 대표적이다.

진리를 상징화한 비로자나불을 볼 때마다 되새겨야 할 것이 있다. 진리는 독점되는 것도, 고정불변 하는 존재가 아닌 실천과 결부된 존재라는 점이다. 내 것이라고 생각하는 순간 진리는 벌써 저만치 가 있고, 실천이 없는 진리는 공허할 따름이다. 부처님 가르침이 아무리 위대해도 중생들에게 베풀어지고, 회향되지 않는 한, 한낱 ‘화석화된 교시’에 불과하다. 자비와 역지사지(易之思之)를 아무리 외쳐도 보살행이 없으면 별무소용이라는 것을, 비로자나불은 지금도 우리에게 가르치고 있다.

동양의 마지막 미륵불이 될것이고 왜 미륵불인가는 그동안 이 지구행성에서 다시한번 십선도를 십계명을 실천해서 좋은 세계로 태어나고 살아가도록 기회를 주게될것이고 이 시기는 앞으로 다가오는 세계가 미륵 용화 세계가 될것이다

물론 세계3차 대전을 치루고나서야 된다 그러니 얼마남지않았고 그리고 동양의 미륵불 세계가 끝나면 서양의 성경 귀절대로 십선도와 십계명을 즉 심판과 구원의 시간을 서양이 가지게되는것이다

그러니 동양은 반드시 십선도와 십계명을 누구의 의해서지켜가는것이 아니라 자신의 스스로 영적인 변화를 얻기위해서는 해야만하는것이다 그러하지못하면 서양의 심판과 집행에 그들은 구원을 받지못한다

그러니 이러한 순서의 과정이 앞으로 기다리고있기에 이러한 다가오는 성령과 성불의 계획된 시간표속에서 지금 그래도 게을리하지말고 부지런히 깨달아라는것이다 이것이 동양이든 서양이든

그러한 세계를 맞이하기위해서 비로자나 부처님은 화엄성중의 대표이시고 동양의 104신위분들과 서양의 서양 방식의 화엄성중 신위분들을 대표해서 지금까지 인류가 죄악을 짓고도 반성과참회 회개를 하지않는 국가든 민족이든 대륙이든 개개인이든 삼라만상 모든 죄악인들을 대청소를 하게될것이다

이들을 살려두고서는 인류는 미래 그러한 세계를 맞이할수가없기에 이렇게 앞으로 막중대사를 치루고나서야 그러한 용화 세계 솔로몬의 세계처럼 인류문명이 꽃 문명을 맞이함과 태평성대를 미륵불 세계를 맞이하게되는 순서의 과정은 이러하다

거듭말하지만 대성령의 길로 대성불의 길로 가는일에는 시간과 공간에 제약받지않기에 과거든 현재든 미래든 위에 언급한 물질의 인류문명의 시간과 공간의 세계는 그렇게 돌아가도록 설계되어있기에 중요한것은 자신이 인간의 생명으로와서 반드시 대성령의 대성불의 길로들어가도록해야한다라는것이다 그러면 자연적으로 도솔천 세계도 올라가지는법이다 그것은 인류에게 마지막의 구원을 받도록해주는 기회를 제공해주는 시간임을 명심해야하는것이다 지금도 하지않는데 그때에도 할것같지가 않기에 이것인 동물의 축생의 습성이다 깨닫지않는 인간의 습성이다

인류의 불행과 고통을 구제하기위해서는 전쟁을 해야하지않느냐라는 성령의 음성 메세지 그대로 실행에 옮길것이다 그 역활은 바로 비로자나 부처님이요 동서양의 화엄 성중님들이시고 앞으로 새로운 화엄성중분들을 동서양에서 가려내어서 신중으로 모시게될것이다

그러니 대한민국이든 한반도는 어설프게 국가와 민족을 관리해갈시에는 그동안 걸어온 죄악의 시간들을 자신들이 저질러온 죄값은 업장소멸은 공덕을 그나마 짓는것이 현명한 선택이고 그것을 역행시에는 멸문지하는 그들의 혈육의 뿌리는 뽑아버릴것이다

성씨문중들 중에 대표적인 문중들을 지켜보고 있으니 불교와 도교는 사상이 가까우나 유교하고는 먼옛날부터 중국에서부터나 이 한반도에서나 대립과 충돌이 생겼고 그러한 여파가 고려부터 조선의 역사에 고스란히 담겨내려왔든것이다

그러니 서양에서는 유교권을 옹호하는이유는 바로 이러한 아시아의 한반도의 대한민국의 분열을 부추기기위한 고도의 전략인셈이다

종교의 용어는 너무나 추상적인 단어들을 많이 사용하고 때로는 언어도단을 과감없이 사용하기에 진정한 신앙심의 발로에 장애를 준다라는 사실이다

동양의 종교 사상들이 유별나게 그러하기에 그러니 구심점이 없고 적극적인 신앙심이 결여를 가지고왔든것이다 중복된 명호부터해서 수만가지 신들을 표현하면서까지 서양의 종교 사상은 단순하고 하나로 결집함에 힘이 모아지고 추진력과 적극적인 신앙심이 발로가 일어난다라는 사실 안그래도 인류문명이 복잡해가고 다양해가는데 그러한 종교 사상까지 복잡한것을 누가 믿고 따르는가이다

앞으로 문명은 단순한것을 원하기에 그래서 더욱이 유일신이 절대적인 신앙으로 가게된다라는 엄연한 필연적 사실이다 절대적인 신은 동서양 모든 성중분들 성인분들 신중분들,선각자,선지자분들,현인분들 도인분들 모든 성령의 힘이든 법신력의 힘이든 다 내포하고 있다라는 사실을 알려드리고 싶다

미륵 세계가 되면 지금은 인류가 병들어서 지구 행성이 병들어서 괴질들이 늘어날것이지만 세계3차 대전이 끝나고 인류가 태평성대를 맞이하면서 잠시나마 질병으로 인한 고통받는 세계가 줄어들어갈것이다 질병이란 물질적인 불안정성에서 파생되는 특징이다 여기에 영적인 불안정성에 오는 부분의 징벌이 포함되어있고

자신의 육신의 물질의 극복함으로써 질병으로부터 해방되는것이다 그러니 대성불과 대성령의 길로 가게되다보면 그러한것들도 다 소화가능하게되는것이다 죽음에 대한 연민 집착 같은것도 꺼달릴필요가 없는것이다

참으로 귀중한 언급들을 기록해드렸습니다 다들 저마다 자신의 것으로 만들어서 주장하고 이익을 취하려고 세상 권속들은 난리법썩을 치지만 이렇게 모든것들을 벗겨놓았으니 열심히 수행해서 세상을 현실세계를 너무나 집착하지도말고 자신의 명과 영이 복이 창성되기위해서는 열심히 그러한 길로 들어가면 남는 장사가 분명히 된다라는 사실이다
