[아시아경제 양낙규 기자]북한이 3차 핵실험을 강행한 가운데 일부 전문가들은 이번 핵실험이 백두산 화산활동에 어떤 영향을 미칠지에 촉각을 곤두세우고 있다.

백두산과 핵실험장이 있는 함경북도 풍계리는 110㎞ 정도 떨어져 있다. 거리가 가까운만큼 핵실험으로 인한 백두산 화산활동을 앞당길 수 있다는 것이다. 이런 우려는 2011년 3월 일본 대지진 이후 국내 지진과 해일, 백두산의 화산활동 가능성 등에 주목해온 국내 정치인과 학자들 사이에서 주로 나오고 있다. 특히 북한의 추가 핵실험이 1, 2차 핵실험 때보다 훨씬 큰 폭발력을 보일 수 있다는 관측이 나오고 있다는 점에 주목하고 있다.
북한의 이번 핵실험이 원자폭탄과 수소폭탄의 중간단계로 보이는 강력한 핵실험이라면 폭발력은 20∼50킬로톤(Kt)정도다.
기상청 국가지진센터 측에 따르면 2006년 1차 핵실험의 폭발력은 리히터 규모로3.6, 2009년 2차 핵실험 때는 4.4였다. 규모 4.4의 지진이 발생하면 진앙지로부터 반경 50㎞ 내에 있는 사람은 흔들리는 것을 느끼게 된다. 1, 2차 핵실험의 폭발력이 각각 1Kt 안팎, 2∼6Kt이었다는 분석이 나오는 점을 감안하면 20Kt의 폭발력은 리히터 규모 5 안팎의 지진을 일으킬 수 있다고 추정할 수 있다.
연세대 홍태경 지구시스템과학과 교수가 국회에 자문한 내용에 따르면 백두산 아래로 흐르는 4개의 마그마 층은 함경북도 방향으로 넓게 분포돼 있다. 북한이 1,2차 핵실험을 실시한 곳은 백두산 동쪽인 함북 길주군 풍계리 일대다. 이곳에 지표면으로부터 땅을 약 2km를 판 후 핵실험을 실시했다.
하지만 핵실험 아래에는 백두산과 연결된 마그마층이 있다. 1층 마그마(지하 10km 지점)와 2층 마그마(지하 20km 지점)다. 이때문에 백두산과 연결된 마그마 층과 핵실험 장소 간 거리는 8km밖에 안 되기 때문에 핵실험이 마그마 층을 자극했을 가능성이 매우 높다는 분석이다.
실제 러시아 기상관측 위성 ‘테라(Terra)’가 측정한 자료에 따르면 1차 핵실험 후인 2006년 10월 18일 백두산 정상에서 고온의 가스와 열이 분출된 것으로 알려졌다. 백두산 정상의 가스 분출은 마그마 활동이 분화 단계에 접어들었음을 의미한다.
백두산은 통상 100년에 2∼3차례 분화했고 마지막으로 분화한 것은 지난 1925년이다. 지난 2002∼2003년에는 백두산의 화산활동이 활발해져 다시 분화 위기가 찾아온 것 아니냐는 관측이 나오기도 했다. 관련 학계는 뚜렷한 기록이 없기는 하지만 백두산이 1천년 전 10세기에 인류 역사상 최대 폭발을 기록한 것으로 추정돼 백두산이 다시 대폭발 하면 대규모 재앙이 될 수 있다고 보고 있다.
백두산이 마지막으로 화산폭발한 1000년전 분화당시 규모를 기준으로 한다면 화산폭발지수(VEI)는 7.4이 나온다는 분석도 있다. VEI가 8이면 ‘슈퍼화산’이다.
만약, 겨울에 백두산이 폭발한다면 8시간 만에 화산재가 울릉도를 뒤덮고 12시간 뒤에는 일본에 도달해 동북아의 항공운항이 마비된다는 관측도 있다. 국립방재연구원이 미국 연방재난관리청(FEMA)과 국립해양대기청(NOAA)의 ‘유해물질 확산 대기모형(ALOHA)’에 따라 실시한 모의실험 결과다.
국립방재연구소의 모의실험결과에 따르면 겨울철에 폭발하는 백두산의 화산재는 동남쪽으로 이동한다. 편서풍의 영향을 받기 때문이다. 화산재는 8시간 만에 울릉도 독도에 도달하고 12시간 뒤에는 일본에 상륙하는 것으로 나타났다. 오사카에는 16시간, 도쿄 인근까지는 18시간 걸릴 것으로 예측됐다.
겨울에는 동해와 일본, 여름에는 북한의 북동부와 중국 북동부, 러시아 남동부 지역으로 확산된다는 결론이다.
우리 정부가 우려하는 것은 화산재로 인해 농사가 불가능해진다면 식량난으로 대규모 탈북사태가 발생할 수 있다는 점이다. 기획재정부의 `2010년 거시경제안정보고서'는 겨울에 백두산이 분화하면 북풍이나 북서풍을 타고 화산재가 남쪽으로 내려와 항공기를 통한 수출길이 막히고 이상 저온현상으로 농산물 가격이 상승할 가능성이 있다고 지적했다. 또 폭발 이후 화산재가 편성풍의 영향으로 북한 함경도 일대의 철도, 도로, 전기, 수도 등 사회기반시설을 무용화 시킬 가능성도 높다.
백두산이 폭발하면 함경도 등 반경 약 100㎞ 내에 산사태, 홍수 등 피해가 예상된다. 지난 1902년에도 서인도제도 마르티니크섬의 몽펠레화산에서 화쇄류가 분출하면서 약 3만명의 시민 대부분이 전멸하는 사태가 벌어지기도 했다.
백두산 화산연구 권위자로 통하는 부산대 윤성효 교수는 북한의 핵실험이 어느정도의 폭발력을 보일지, 그리고 핵실험이 백두산 화산 활동에 어떤 영향을 미칠지를 가늠하기 어렵다면서도 "직ㆍ간접적인 영향을 줄 가능성이 있어 우려스러운 것이사실"이라고 말했다.

이번 북한의 핵실험으로 백두산의 화산 폭발에 대해서 전혀 영향이 없다라고 보기에는 무리라고 본다.

이것은 궁극적으로 중국과 미국의 동반 이익을 취하는 결과를 맞이할것이고 안그래도 미국의 군수업체들이 오바마대통령을 만든 이유도 무기 판매의 보장 댓가이니 그만큼 투자한만큼 무기 판매고를 올려야하기에 그동안 대한민국 안보관련한 무기 수입액도 이러한 연고로 대한민국 대통령을 만든 작품들을 이번에도 이것은 일본의 총선에서도 아베를 당선시킨것이고 중국도 그러하다.
결국 최대의 수혜자는 그들이고 그 중심에 북한이 서 있는것이고 북한은 북한이 가지고 있는 권력의 특수성에 의해서 외교 군사,안보정책들을 구사하기에 독자적인 권력의 유지와 주체성의 성질들이 나타나는 반면에 주변국은 미국의 군수업체와 맞물려서 권력을 인위적인 작품으로 세우기에 그러니 전쟁의 기정 사실화속에서 지금 진행되어가는것이고 북한은 대한민국에게 최후의 상생의 모색을 내놓지만 대한민국에서 이것을 받아들이는 수용의 자세도 있지만 이것을 수용하지못하도록 방해하는 책동의 세력들이 곳곳에 존재한다라는 사실이다.
이들이 매파의 일종으로 주변국의 후원속에서 자금들을 받아서 활동들을 하기에 결국은 남북한 대화의 장에서 파국으로 치닫게 유도하면 결국은 대립이고 전쟁이고 무고한 백성들은 희생할것이고 한반도가 파국이 되어도 북한이 주도권을 확보한다라는 사실이다 .
이러한 전체적인 상황 구도속에서 지금 대한민국은 용기있는 결단의 더욱이 비상임 이사국은 더욱더 대립이냐 수용이냐라는 여론의 분위기를 그리고 한반도를 전쟁으로 아니면 전쟁의 장으로 이어갈것인지 지금 남북한은 그러한 국면에 진입된것이다.

그동안 대한민국이 달려온 신명계와 북한은 일사분란해서 달려온 신명계와 여기서 절대적인 신의 뜻과 지구촌의 양강 구도의 신명계축과 미래생의 인간계 구도축이 있기에 지금 북한은 핵실험을 하는것이 불가피하고 그러니 주변국은 이번 중국의 서진핑의 강경파은 예상한대로 북한과 대립을 고조해갈것이고 이것이 미국의 오바마 역시 기다린듯 종하하고 더욱이 케리 미국 국무부 장관 역시 그동안 기다려온 강경파이기에 대립은 어느 정도 예상이 될것이다
그러면 대한민국은 이러한 고래등 싸움에 과연 무사할것 같은가? 그리고 일본은 역시나 기다려온 일본의 비상 탈출구를 모색할것이기에 대한민국 산자와 죽은자들은 그야말로 샌드위치보다도 더 눌린 형국의 신명계 상황이다.

[아시아경제 양낙규 기자]북한이 3차 핵실험을 강행한 가운데 일부 전문가들은 이번 핵실험이 백두산 화산활동에 어떤 영향을 미칠지에 촉각을 곤두세우고 있다.

백두산과 핵실험장이 있는 함경북도 풍계리는 110㎞ 정도 떨어져 있다. 거리가 가까운만큼 핵실험으로 인한 백두산 화산활동을 앞당길 수 있다는 것이다. 이런 우려는 2011년 3월 일본 대지진 이후 국내 지진과 해일, 백두산의 화산활동 가능성 등에 주목해온 국내 정치인과 학자들 사이에서 주로 나오고 있다. 특히 북한의 추가 핵실험이 1, 2차 핵실험 때보다 훨씬 큰 폭발력을 보일 수 있다는 관측이 나오고 있다는 점에 주목하고 있다.
북한의 이번 핵실험이 원자폭탄과 수소폭탄의 중간단계로 보이는 강력한 핵실험이라면 폭발력은 20∼50킬로톤(Kt)정도다.
기상청 국가지진센터 측에 따르면 2006년 1차 핵실험의 폭발력은 리히터 규모로3.6, 2009년 2차 핵실험 때는 4.4였다. 규모 4.4의 지진이 발생하면 진앙지로부터 반경 50㎞ 내에 있는 사람은 흔들리는 것을 느끼게 된다. 1, 2차 핵실험의 폭발력이 각각 1Kt 안팎, 2∼6Kt이었다는 분석이 나오는 점을 감안하면 20Kt의 폭발력은 리히터 규모 5 안팎의 지진을 일으킬 수 있다고 추정할 수 있다.
연세대 홍태경 지구시스템과학과 교수가 국회에 자문한 내용에 따르면 백두산 아래로 흐르는 4개의 마그마 층은 함경북도 방향으로 넓게 분포돼 있다. 북한이 1,2차 핵실험을 실시한 곳은 백두산 동쪽인 함북 길주군 풍계리 일대다. 이곳에 지표면으로부터 땅을 약 2km를 판 후 핵실험을 실시했다.
하지만 핵실험 아래에는 백두산과 연결된 마그마층이 있다. 1층 마그마(지하 10km 지점)와 2층 마그마(지하 20km 지점)다. 이때문에 백두산과 연결된 마그마 층과 핵실험 장소 간 거리는 8km밖에 안 되기 때문에 핵실험이 마그마 층을 자극했을 가능성이 매우 높다는 분석이다.
실제 러시아 기상관측 위성 ‘테라(Terra)’가 측정한 자료에 따르면 1차 핵실험 후인 2006년 10월 18일 백두산 정상에서 고온의 가스와 열이 분출된 것으로 알려졌다. 백두산 정상의 가스 분출은 마그마 활동이 분화 단계에 접어들었음을 의미한다.
백두산은 통상 100년에 2∼3차례 분화했고 마지막으로 분화한 것은 지난 1925년이다. 지난 2002∼2003년에는 백두산의 화산활동이 활발해져 다시 분화 위기가 찾아온 것 아니냐는 관측이 나오기도 했다. 관련 학계는 뚜렷한 기록이 없기는 하지만 백두산이 1천년 전 10세기에 인류 역사상 최대 폭발을 기록한 것으로 추정돼 백두산이 다시 대폭발 하면 대규모 재앙이 될 수 있다고 보고 있다.
백두산이 마지막으로 화산폭발한 1000년전 분화당시 규모를 기준으로 한다면 화산폭발지수(VEI)는 7.4이 나온다는 분석도 있다. VEI가 8이면 ‘슈퍼화산’이다.
만약, 겨울에 백두산이 폭발한다면 8시간 만에 화산재가 울릉도를 뒤덮고 12시간 뒤에는 일본에 도달해 동북아의 항공운항이 마비된다는 관측도 있다. 국립방재연구원이 미국 연방재난관리청(FEMA)과 국립해양대기청(NOAA)의 ‘유해물질 확산 대기모형(ALOHA)’에 따라 실시한 모의실험 결과다.
국립방재연구소의 모의실험결과에 따르면 겨울철에 폭발하는 백두산의 화산재는 동남쪽으로 이동한다. 편서풍의 영향을 받기 때문이다. 화산재는 8시간 만에 울릉도 독도에 도달하고 12시간 뒤에는 일본에 상륙하는 것으로 나타났다. 오사카에는 16시간, 도쿄 인근까지는 18시간 걸릴 것으로 예측됐다.
겨울에는 동해와 일본, 여름에는 북한의 북동부와 중국 북동부, 러시아 남동부 지역으로 확산된다는 결론이다.
우리 정부가 우려하는 것은 화산재로 인해 농사가 불가능해진다면 식량난으로 대규모 탈북사태가 발생할 수 있다는 점이다. 기획재정부의 `2010년 거시경제안정보고서'는 겨울에 백두산이 분화하면 북풍이나 북서풍을 타고 화산재가 남쪽으로 내려와 항공기를 통한 수출길이 막히고 이상 저온현상으로 농산물 가격이 상승할 가능성이 있다고 지적했다. 또 폭발 이후 화산재가 편성풍의 영향으로 북한 함경도 일대의 철도, 도로, 전기, 수도 등 사회기반시설을 무용화 시킬 가능성도 높다.
백두산이 폭발하면 함경도 등 반경 약 100㎞ 내에 산사태, 홍수 등 피해가 예상된다. 지난 1902년에도 서인도제도 마르티니크섬의 몽펠레화산에서 화쇄류가 분출하면서 약 3만명의 시민 대부분이 전멸하는 사태가 벌어지기도 했다.
백두산 화산연구 권위자로 통하는 부산대 윤성효 교수는 북한의 핵실험이 어느정도의 폭발력을 보일지, 그리고 핵실험이 백두산 화산 활동에 어떤 영향을 미칠지를 가늠하기 어렵다면서도 "직ㆍ간접적인 영향을 줄 가능성이 있어 우려스러운 것이사실"이라고 말했다.

이번 북한의 핵실험으로 백두산의 화산 폭발에 대해서 전혀 영향이 없다라고 보기에는 무리라고 본다.
백두산의 화산의 대폭발 역시 북한의 지리적인 무기인셈이다 더욱이 동북아 정세속에서 대한민국은 해빙의 통일의 38분단선의 해빙 전환에 대한 통일 정책을 구사해야한다 계속해서 북한을 압박하는 주변국들은 자국의 위기 탈출구로 남북한 대결의 장으로 이윤을 취하겠지만 그리고 무기 업체들은 이것을 명분으로 전쟁의 확대화로 인한 무기 판매고를 올리려고할것이다.
이것은 궁극적으로 중국과 미국의 동반 이익을 취하는 결과를 맞이할것이고 안그래도 미국의 군수업체들이 오바마대통령을 만든 이유도 무기 판매의 보장 댓가이니 그만큼 투자한만큼 무기 판매고를 올려야하기에 그동안 대한민국 안보관련한 무기 수입액도 이러한 연고로 대한민국 대통령을 만든 작품들을 이번에도 이것은 일본의 총선에서도 아베를 당선시킨것이고 중국도 그러하다.
결국 최대의 수혜자는 그들이고 그 중심에 북한이 서 있는것이고 북한은 북한이 가지고 있는 권력의 특수성에 의해서 외교 군사,안보정책들을 구사하기에 독자적인 권력의 유지와 주체성의 성질들이 나타나는 반면에 주변국은 미국의 군수업체와 맞물려서 권력을 인위적인 작품으로 세우기에 그러니 전쟁의 기정 사실화속에서 지금 진행되어가는것이고 북한은 대한민국에게 최후의 상생의 모색을 내놓지만 대한민국에서 이것을 받아들이는 수용의 자세도 있지만 이것을 수용하지못하도록 방해하는 책동의 세력들이 곳곳에 존재한다라는 사실이다.
이들이 매파의 일종으로 주변국의 후원속에서 자금들을 받아서 활동들을 하기에 결국은 남북한 대화의 장에서 파국으로 치닫게 유도하면 결국은 대립이고 전쟁이고 무고한 백성들은 희생할것이고 한반도가 파국이 되어도 북한이 주도권을 확보한다라는 사실이다 .
이러한 전체적인 상황 구도속에서 지금 대한민국은 용기있는 결단의 더욱이 비상임 이사국은 더욱더 대립이냐 수용이냐라는 여론의 분위기를 그리고 한반도를 전쟁으로 아니면 전쟁의 장으로 이어갈것인지 지금 남북한은 그러한 국면에 진입된것이다.
이와 별도로 세계3차 대전이 역시나 기다리고 있기에 일본은 역시나 마지막 배수진을 치고 있기에 이미 일본의 신명계들이 움직였다라고 알려드린바가 있으니 대한민국은 어느때보다도 국정의 운영의 중대한 중요한 역량의 지혜를 발휘하느냐 못하느냐에 생사에 달려있는것이다.
